More Than the Beach: What Does Your Photo Story Tell?

I receive an enquiry for a Mallorca holiday shoot. Moni and Jan are on the island and would like to book a Mallorca photo shoot. Of course I was first interested in what motivated them, and we were soon in conversation. They told me what they love about Mallorca and how they met each other. After hearing this, the idea for a couples shoot on Mallorca was already forming in my mind. What information did I have? Both loved riding Vespas and had met each other that way. They also liked the beach, good food and the typical Spanish lanes of Mallorca. That was already enough for a Mallorca photo story.
Said and Done!
The next day I looked for a Vespa scooter on Mallorca and quickly found one in Cala Millor. Pit's workshop could quickly help me there and rented me the object of desire. I had quickly decided on the lanes in Capdepera as the location and already had a suitable beach in mind. So off we went with Moni and Jan and a Vespa to Capdepera first, to stage a new meeting and capture it with the camera.
So the meeting was already captured, but I had a few more surprises for the two of them. There was still the information about the sea and good food. So my next shooting location was at the sea – but where can you still ride a Vespa right to the water? I had done my research in advance and found a suitable place, without disturbing other holidaymakers.
But a nice outing with a picnic by the sea does not quite make a couple – or does it? I had one more photo location for the two of them. So I made my way to the last shooting spot. There was one more beautiful view of the sea, and proof that this was indeed a Mallorca couples shoot.
There is the proof – only people in love look at each other like that. The whole way they interacted was already impressive. So I was not surprised by the later message that the two of them would be getting married in 2018. Unfortunately not on Mallorca, but I wish them both much luck and love in what will hopefully be a long life together.
