Early in the morning the harbour is still in the shade of the pine trees – soft, even light with no harsh shadows. In the evening (from 6 pm) golden backlight arrives from the open sea. Both times of day are ideal for couple and family photos.
Absolutely. The harbour is safe and easy to navigate, and Cala Gat cove has calm, shallow water. Children love the colourful fishing boats as a backdrop.
Yes, the XXL package (€400) includes multiple locations. Cala Mesquida is just a few kilometres to the north and offers a completely different atmosphere – natural dunes instead of a fishing harbour.
In high summer (July/August) we recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance. In the shoulder season, last-minute bookings are often possible.

Cala Rajada – also spelled Cala Ratjada – is not a typical Mallorca holiday resort. The fishing village on the north-eastern coast has kept its authentic charm: the small harbour with its colourful boats, the pine-lined coastal paths and the hidden coves are extraordinary backdrops for a photo shoot.
What makes Cala Rajada particularly special as a shooting location is the variety within a small area. In 30 minutes you can stroll from the peaceful harbour through the pine forest to the lighthouse and on to the next cove – with each stretch offering a completely different mood.
We have known this village since 2009 and know exactly when and where the light is at its finest. Your photos will be in your gallery the very same day.
